Local Detroiters to
boycott
little Caesars arena opening night due to
Kid rock
Today, is the day Detroit's newly built LITTLE CAESARS ARENA will open its doors to host its first big concert event. However, as exciting as the news is to some others such as actual local Detroiters fill quite the opposite in excitement. To kick off their big opening the Arena has looked in no other direction then that of "Detroits" own Kid Rock.
Kid Rock, born Robert Ritchie was born in the metro Detroit area of Romeo, Michigan which is about forty miles away from the city. Yet in still throughout his career Kid Rock has greatly claimed Detroit as his hometown and actual Detroiters has accepted this claim until issues arouse with Rock. Issues such as flying the confederate flag proudly within his concerts, using "nigga" within his speech often, denouncing Kaepernick, and least but not least supporting president Donald Trump. Now, true Detroiters are actually quite on the opposite sides of all these issues, I should know I myself is a Detroiter born and raised.
Apparently, Detroiters made it known that they would not stand by the Arena and its operators decision to let Kid Rock perform a string of six concerts back to back as the opening of the Arenas "Welcome Detroit" greeting. Protesters, are set to take to the Detroit streets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday September 12,2017 just hours before the sold out show is scheduled to open its doors. Political figures such as Sam Riddle and Rev. Charles Williams president of the National Action Network Detroit chapter is set to lead the group beginning at Grand Circus Park to the arena across from I75 on to Woodward.
Kid Rock, did however make a statement yesterday in which he pretty much called Sam Riddle a "piece of criminal shit". Which may or may not be debatable for some and not others. The Detroit police has made it known that they would be in attendance to mandate the protesters. We shall see how the final outcome starting this evening.
