LAS VEGAS GUNMAN KILLS AND WOUND MULTIPLES DURING
COUNTRY MUSIC CONCERT
First, it was the deadly shooting at the Ariana Grande concert that was held overseas in Manchester, UK in which 20 were gunned down and now tragedy via a concert shooting has made its way to the United States in Las Vegas, NV. Details at the moment are sketchy but it is said that 50 people have been killed and 100’s have been injured as a gun man (now known as 64 year old, Stephan Paddock) located on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel unloaded a hail of bullets on about 30,000 country music concert goers. Country Music star Jason L. Dean was performing during Harvest 91 Festival and moments from ending the festival when he paused like many others and proceeded to run off stage while fans scattered in all direction and took cover as they finally realized it was an automatic weapon firing upon them.
This event will forever change the dynamics of concerts here in the US. With peoples safety always being in question when attending concerts. Will people feel safe? Why did the gun man choose the genre of a concert? Will people continue to attend concerts in the festival style manner? Big concerts such as Coachella, the Meadows Music festival, The Rolling Loud Festival , and so many more are held in the same makeup style. As a hardcore concert goer I myself is very concerned about the dynamics of concerts from here on out both here in my own country and abroad.
My thoughts and prayers are with those in Las Vegas and those families that have been greatly affected.
