CONCERTSHORTIES CONCERT DISCUSSION | P. DIDDY'S BAD BOY REUNION
Bad Boys own CEO Sean "P. Diddy" Combs announced early in the month of April that in light of celebrating hip hop legend Notorious B.I.G 44th birthday he would be throwing a Bad Boy Reunion Concert. Artist such as Mary J. Blige, 112, Lil Kim, Mase, & Jay Z just to name a few would be in attendance to grace the stage.
Die hard B.I.G fans are ecstatic as the concert date is schedule to be May 20,2016 in no other then B.I.G's hometown Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center. One week after the announcement of the concert tickets went on sale and sold out within 7 mins. However, vendors such as StubHub have resale tickets going for double and even triple the original prices. As a result of a sale out show Diddy did it again by announcing a second show to be added May 21,2016 at the same location.
What's the hype about this particular show that caused such an excitement amongst fans. The last hip hop concert I heard of selling out within minutes of tickets going on sale at the Barclays Center this year was that of Kanye West "YEEZYS ALBUM RELEASE" (which wasn't a concert at all). I pose such a question because the Bad Boy Reunion has been going on for some time now without such a hype. I wonder could appearances from artist such as Jay Z and Mary J. Blige be the reason for the demand or could it just be New York supports B.I.G that much? I don't know what are your thoughts?
